FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS canyoning and via ferrata

All your most frequently asked questions and all our most relevant answers 😉

- What's the most important thing about taking part in BÔ CANYON activities?

Simple, but important. Just want to!

- I've never done canyoning or via ferrata

No problem, all activities can be undertaken by ordinary mortals.

A minimum level of physical fitness is recommended to get the most out of your visit.

- I'm afraid of heights

BÔ CANYON is here to take care of you personally, to help you overcome your fears.

Because more than a real fear of heights, it's this fear that you need to get to grips with.

We're here to help and reassure you. This applies equally to canyoning and via ferrata.

- I can't swim

Unfortunately, knowing how to swim is a prerequisite for canyoning.

- I can't put my head under water

It's very difficult not to put your head in the water, so you need to be able to put your head in the water.

- Are jumps compulsory?

No, all our canyoning trips are without jumps.

We can always use the rope or go around the obstacle.

- I wear glasses or contact lenses

No problem, you can take part in both the canyoning and via ferrata activities.

- Is there an age limit?

Yes, refer to each activity to check the minimum age.

For the via ferrata, there is also a minimum height of 1.35 m to be able to move between the bars and cables without any problems.

There is no maximum age.

- I'm afraid of the cold

BÔ CANYON supplies you with quality 5mm neoprene wetsuits (trousers, hooded jacket and booties).

The water temperature is cool at all times of year, but for those who are a little chilly, the water in the Soucy canyon is often milder than on other descents.

- What do I need to bring for the canyoning activity?

A pair of old trainers (not destroyed if possible), a swimming costume and a towel.

Warning: no water shoes!

- I have a disability

Call us direct to talk about it and find out together if your disability is compatible with our activities.

- I'm always smiling and I've got a lot of energy

Come on, we'll take you with us!

- I'm sulking and moaning non-stop!

Likewise, welcome!

- We are a group that exceeds the number of people for a given activity

Call us direct to organise an outing together.

- What methods of payment are available?

You can pay for your activities by cash, cheque or bank transfer (contact us for an IBAN).

Please note that there are no cash dispensers (DAB) near the activity areas, so be prepared.

- Diplomas and insurance

All BÔ CANYON guides have the appropriate state qualifications for the activities on offer, an up-to-date professional card, appropriate professional indemnity insurance and personal accident insurance for clients. It is therefore not necessary to take out additional insurance. All our diplomas and insurance policies are available on request.
